Rachel McAdams In Vivienne Westwood - 'The Vow' LA Premiere

Rachel McAdams looked absolutely fabulous at the LA premiere of 'The Vow' in a custome Vivienne Westwood dress.  You might remember this silhouette on Jennifer Aniston last year (click here).

The baby blue colour is divine on Rachel and she accessorised so well!  I love the new hair-do (although her roots are showing), the silver and gold chain-link necklaces by Pomellato as well as the clutch and shoes, both by Christian Louboutin.

Rachel McAdams In Peter Som - 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' LA Premiere

Rachel McAdams made an appearance in a Peter Som Spring 2012 ensemble for the LA premiere of 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island'.

Rachel has had a very good week in terms of fashion, and this has to be my favourite.
The blue is such a refreshing shade and it's a different look from her.

She wore it with beachy hair, natural make-up and a big smile.  Now if only she'd ditched the pointy black pump in favour of a strappy sandal this would be perfection.

Rachel McAdams In Andrew Gn - 'The Vow' Press in NYC

Rachel McAdams wore an Andrew Gn Spring 2012 frock as she was spotted outside her hotel in NYC, presumably for attending a promotional event for 'The Vow'.

The jacquard silk dress with bell sleeves was rather short on length but Rachel totally worked it with her windswept blonde locks, pink lips, a metallic clutch & black pumps.

I don't know what Rachel has been doing lately but she looks fresh-faced and lovely for every formal appearance.

Rachel McAdams In Peter Som - 'Good Morning America' Appearance

Rachel McAdams did a TV spot for her upcoming movie 'The Vow' on 'Good Morning America'.  The actress wore a Peter Som Spring 2012 dress for her interview.

The long sleeved, striped dress with multiple shades of blue looked wonderful on her.  She wore it with a neat blowout, red lips and cap toe pumps with matching tones.

The bright belt on the runway is a nice addition but I'm sure it wouldn't have suited Rachel's very polished look.

Nicole Kidman In Collette Dinnigan - 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards

Nicole Kidman attended the 2012 Australian Academy Awards held in Hollywood (yes...) wearing the same Collette Dinnigan Spring 2012 dress that was seen on Rachel McAdams a few days back (click here).

Nicole wore the lace and tulle dress with a soft, wavy hairstyle, a diamond bracelet and silver heels.

Who do you think wears it better?  I'm going with Rachel on this one, as it seems a little snug on Nicole.

Fashion Roundup

Vanessa Minnillo wore a lacy black dress by Love Serpent, the red version of which we saw on Miranda Kerr in 2011 (click here).  It's a pretty dress and she wore it well.

Vanessa Hudgens is still in Australia, promoting her movie 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island'.  She wore a cute, printed dress by Bec & Bridge for a photocall near the beach.  I'm giving the shades and the gladiator sandals a miss though.

Elizabeth Banks is currently stuck in an all black phase.  She did an interview in NYC this week wearing a brocade Andrew Gn Spring 2012 coat which she wore it with tights, Tabitha Simmons ankle-boots, and a rather random red Prada bag.

She attended the premiere of 'Haywire' in a Theyskens' Theory fringe dress, topped with a strong shouldered jacket and gold accessories.

Kate Beckinsale was, yes, pretty in pink in LA.  The 'Underworld Awakening' actress did an interview in the rosy pink sheath worn with a swingy ponytail, chandelier earrings and caramel coloured pumps.

Rachel McAdams did a radio show in London for 'The Vow' in a cute LBD that had a leather Peter Pan collar and pleated skirt.  She wore a black coat from
The Row Fall 2011 line.  Love those Brian Atwood 'Grace' heels with a thin ankle-strap and ruffles (click here for a better look).

Rosie Huntington Whiteley exited a building in Brazil in a super stylish ensemble of a sequined loose shirt worn with leather pants, shades, cap-toe shoes and her blue Birkin.

Jessica Alba appeared at the SiriusXM studio in NYC in a menswear inspired outfit of a white bomber worn with loose fitting black pants.  Not a fan of this outfit on her, and that red belt is annoying.

Rachel McAdams In Collette Dinnigan - 'The Vow' German Photocall

Rachel McAdams wore a Collette Dinnigan Spring 2012 dress for the photocall of her upcoming drama, 'The Vow' in which she stars with Channing Tatum.

The tulle dress with lace applique had an off-shoulder neckline and a modest hem.  Rachel looked absolutely wonderful!  She wore her blonde tresses in a wavy style and finished the look off with diamond earrings, pink lipstick & black pumps.

I'm so glad she surpassed tights as we've been seeing them slowly coming back recently.

Amber Heard In Valentino - 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows' Premiere

Amber Heard stole the show for me (after Rachel McAdams) at the LA premiere of 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'.  And she isn't even in the movie!

Amber wore a simple tailored ensemble by Valentino but made it sexy via the retro hair & red lipstick.

So beautiful!

Rachel McAdams In Marchesa - 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows' Premiere

Rachel McAdams pulled a stunner at the LA premiere of the second 'Sherlock Holmes' movie in a Marchesa Resort 2012 gown.

The silver, applique gown with full sleeves, a cowl-neck back and a long train looked beautiful on Rachel.

She wisely kept the hair & make-up simple - just a knotted, low updo and a swipe of pink lipstick.

Midnight In Paris Screening

Rachel McAdams was seen at the "Midnight In Paris" premiere in NYC in a leopard jacquard white gown by Louis Vuitton - the retro hair and make up look great.

Olivia Palermo was also there, in a menswear inspired look; it's a super sleek look and those chunky animal-print heels & pink nails add a nice feminine touch.

Cannes Day 2

The premiere of "Sleeping Beauty" & "Restless" took place on day two of the Cannes Film Festival and the red carpet turnout was splendid.

I was wondering whether Diane Kruger had been invited this year, and was fervently hoping that she was. Thank the fashion gods, she was invited and as always did not disappoint. The shimmery Calvin Klein gown almost looks like liquid gold! Love the red lip and messy hair do too.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan worked that Armani Priv
é gown like no one's business! She wore a geometric cuff and wore her hair in a high top knot.

Rachel McAdams got bored of those elaborate red carpet gowns and went for this gold/tan Monique Lhuillier outfit consisting of an embellished bustier top and high waisted bottoms. Opinions may be divided on this look but I'm going for a like!

Alexa Chung wore a structured white dress with black heels, it's a pretty simple look... a little too simple actually.

Mia Wasikowska wore a deep red Roland Mouret dress with dangly diamond earrings - a clean, simple look again but I wish she'd have some fun considering her age, this look is too rigid.

Vanessa Hudgens surprised me by turning up at a Calvin Klein party. She looked good in a lime green asymmetric dress with white heels from the label; the colour pops against her skin and I'm glad she left her "messy" look at home.

Aishwarya Rai attended a photocall for a recently announced movie, called "Heroine" in a great day look! She wore a tan trench dress from Lanvin with black heels from the label.

Cannes Day 1

It's May! And the 64th Cannes Film Festival has officially begun, be prepared to see the red carpet dotted with suited photographers and the beautiful clothes (and faces) they'll be taking photos of.

White was a popular choice for the photocalls - Rachel McAdams looked wonderful in a Maxime Simoens dress - I love the summery feel the of it what with the crisp white fabric and the flower-topped shoulders and hips; she wore nude Ferragamo peeptoes.

Uma Thurman wore a knee-length Dolce & Gabbana dress with strappy stilettos.

At the "Kung-Fu Panda 2" photocall, Angelina Jolie wore a light sand coloured summer dress cinched in at the waist with a tan belt, all by Salvatore Ferragamo; she looked great.

On the red carpet, Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore this one-shoulder peplum gown from Elie Saab, with a gold box clutch from Jimmy Choo, I'm liking the understated look.

Rachel McAdams was back in this illusion Marchesa gown - I'm pretty much in love with this entire look.

Uma Thurman, who's on the jury this year wore a strapless white Versace gown with a feathered train. I don't like feathered trains so I'm not loving this gown.

Salma Hayek looked great in this pale, shimmery Gucci premiere gown, so beautiful!

Fashion Roundup

Starting off is Lea Michele, who looked absolutely great in a Zac Posen design with a swingy, full skirt and stripey peeptoes. Blake Lively wore a shimmery beige Prabal Gurung dress with a metallic jacket and dark beige shoes - she has redeemed her style status! Emily Deschanel looked lovely in a lace blend nude coloured BCBG Max Azaria dress with an asymmetric hemline, I'm totally loving this dress.

Zoe Sal
dana's grey leather J Mendel number with suede Brian Atwood peeptoes was a winner; Jennifer Garner wore a raspberry hued Roland Mouret sheath with black Louboutins - I wish she'd played a bit with her hair though, it looks a little limp as it is. Lake Bell made a simple Etro LBD look interesting by adding an embellished belt and some two-tone booties.

Jennifer Lopez' nu
de leather frock by Chloé was rather smashing and I loved how she paired it with some leopard print booties by Brian Atwood... now if she could not pout like that in every single photo! A smile would sufficient! Michelle Williams wore Oscar de la Renta and rocked it. Moving on to Rachel McAdams - I liked the bottom part of the dress, the tulip shaped skirt, however, I'm not quite liking the ruched upper part. Her black Michael Kors platforms are fierce though.

Here & There

Blake Lively did not make a great start to her year. At the National Board of Reviews Gala in LA, she chose a purple Marchesa mini and accessorised with beautiful turquoise jewellery. But what killed the look for me were those brown Burberry T-bar heels - stick to your Louboutins Blake!

Rosamund Pike made a rare appearance in NYC, wearing what I suspect is a Christopher Kane number with black tights with a gold clutch - I like.

Nicole Richie was spotted at a magazine event wearing a purple Pucci dress with a bat-wing sleeve and nude peeptoes; again nothing to really fault with!

Glee star Dianna Agron wore Prada to a FOX event, boooooooring! She really needs to break out of this boring dresses rut.

Rachel McAdams tried to go bold with a plunge neck dress by Suno and Charlotte Olympia heels - the two work well together but something is off here, maybe it's just the unhappy look on Rachel's face?

Kerry Washington, at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards wore a strapless blue Alberto Makali dress with bright blue booties - I understand that she tried to go edgy with those shoes but the look just doesn't work.

Red Glory?

Rachel McAdams was spotted at the Berlin premiere of her movie, "Morning Glory" which also stars Harrison Ford. Rachel wore a Michael Kors gown in red, the black accents to the dress make sure that it doesn't look boring on the red carpet. I'm not so sure that the dark red lipstick works for her here though... maybe a glossy neutral lip colour would have looked better. I also have a little issue with the hair, it's too pageanty for me - a chic bun near the nape of the neck would have looked better.

Autumn Wear!

The weather's getting chilly and it gets dark quickly, winter's finally arrived. Here's Olivia Palermo and her gorgeous boyfriend, Johannes Huebl (go ahead and take a moment to gaze into his eyes) working chic autumn wear like they only know how - on someone else, the fur-trimmed coat would have looked not so chic (hint, Kim Kardashian, or any Kardashians for the matter), but Palermo takes the simple design to new style heights. And paired with the sleek hair, make-up and that delicious crocodile print clutch (not to mention, the arm candy), Palermo's ensemble is an outright winner, not that she ever gets it wrong! Then there's the pretty Rachel McAdams, wearing sensible semi-formal autumn wear, but adding a quirk to the look with the bright red pumps - love it!
