Shailene Woodley In Dolce & Gabbana - 2012 BAFTAs

Shailene Woodley wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress to the BAFTAs this year.

The strapless, baby pink tulle confection with rosettes was incredibly cute and she wore it well, with a top-knot and pink lips.

Viola Davis In Valentino - 2012 BAFTAs

Viola Davis attended the BAFTAs in a custom Valentino dress.

The bright pink, as always, is fabulous on Viola. And the one-shoulder aspect set it apart from the sea of strapless dresses.  It's also environmentally friendly as it's made from recycled plastic bottles.

A glittering bangle, round minaudiere clutch & strappy heels were the finishing touches.

Christina Ricci In Givenchy - 2012 BAFTAs

Christina Ricci wore a custom Givenchy gown to the BAFTAs.

The actress, who was a presenter for the evening was stunning in this gold lamé gown with exaggerated lapels. An updo with blunt bangs, red lipstick, diamond jewels by Bulgari and strappy black heels.

Kristen Wiig In Alberta Ferretti - 2012 BAFTAs

Kristen Wiig kept things sophisticated and feminine in an Alberta Ferretti gown.

It's not as great as her SAGs dress (click here) but she looks lovely nonetheless and I love her luscious, glossy hair.

Christina Hendricks In L'Wren Scott - 2012 BAFTAs

Christina Hendricks of 'Mad Men' attended the BAFTAs as her movie 'Drive' (starring Ryan Gosling) was nominated in a few categories.  She wore a L'Wren Scott dress.

Christina has a voluptuous figure which means that getting the dress right at functions like these is always tricky however I think she wears this black corseted satin gown quite well.  The bow at the waist feels a little unnecessary but I'm willing to let that pass.

A messy hairstyle, bright red lips and a jeweled clutch completed her look.

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji - 2012 BAFTAs

Octavia Spencer once again wore a Tadashi Shoji ensemble for the BAFTAs, where she won the award for Best Supporting Actress.

The crisp white shirt, and the high bun are a nice change from the glitzy gowns however, the ruffled black skirt is very unflattering.

Tilda Swinton In Celine - 2012 BAFTAs

Tilda Swinton wore a Celine Pre-Fall 2012 dress to the 2012 BAFTAs.

This very sleek gown is brilliant on Tilda, who really looks beautiful in white.  It's perfect. The hair is amazing. That's all.

Meryl Streep In Vivienne Westwood - 2012 BAFTAs

Meryl Streep took the the red carpet at this year's BAFTAs in a Vivienne Westwood gown.

The strapless gown with a sexy, corsetted bodice and a train was just that: sexy. I'm just disappointed to see that sparkly bolero on her, otherwise loving this look.

Penelope Cruz In Armani Privé - 2012 BAFTAs

Penelope Cruz made a surprise appearance at the BAFTAs in an Armani Privé  gown.

The wine colour is just spectacular on her olive skintone & chocolate brown eyes however, the back of the dress is a little strange and makes the dress look like a container of sorts.

A chic ponytail and stunning Chopard jewels completed her look.

Michelle Williams In H&M - 2012 BAFTAs

Michelle Williams donned a custom H&M dress for the 2012 BAFTAs.

After a couple of frilly/feminine choices over the awards season so far, it was nice to Michelle in something very restrained and clean.

The monochromatic gown fits her impeccably, and I love the addition of the dark red lipstick and that insanely cool book clutch by Olympia Le-Tan.

Jessica Chastain In Oscar de la Renta - 2012 BAFTAs

Jessica Chastain attended the BAFTAs in a glimmering Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

The plunge-neck silver lamé gown with pleats could have washed her out but combined with her fiery locks and red lipstick, it's a winner; Harry Winston layered necklaces and silver Jimmy Choo sandals were the finishing touches.

Shailene Woodley In Chanel - BAFTA Nominees Party

Shailene Woodley wore a Chanel dress to the BAFTA Nominees party in London.

The sleeveless knit dress with a scoop neck and buttons felt kind of bare, a jacket would have completed her look.  Shailene wore it with tights and booties.

Jessica Chastain In Alexander McQueen - BAFTA Nominees Party

Jessica Chastain attended the pre-BAFTA Nominees Party in London wearing a dress by Alexander McQueen.

The sleeveless red dress had a waist-cinching harness belt and a flared skirt. Jessica paired it with black Jimmy Choos.  It's a pretty safe choice and politically correct, considering she's at a British event.

Emma Watson In Valentino - Pre-BAFTA Party

Emma Watson wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 dress for the pre-BAFTA party; the awards take place on Sunday night.

Emma was sassy yet sweet in this dress with a lace bodice & poofy skirt. The colour is bold and Emma took it to the next level with her glossy hair & red lips.

She finished the look with strappy Louboutins; I cannot wait to see what she wears on Sunday night.

The Baftas

Jessica Alba wore a bright blue dress by Versace with a colourful choker and a braided hairdo. I liked how she went for a bold colour instead of mixing in with the pink crowd and the even though the dress is a tad boring, compared to Jess' otherwise adventurous taste it still works.

Emma Stone wore a fresh-off-the-runway Lanvin gown - pink & red are one of the hottest trends of this season and she wore her gown well!

Amy Adams went for a peach coloured Elie Saab dress, I think the colour looks lovely with her hair.

Emma Watson's Valentino gown was a little colourless and her slouchy pose made it look worse; her makeup is spot on though.
