2012 Women in Film Crytsal + Lucy Awards

The 2012 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards took place in Beverley Hills last night.

Chloe Moretz wore an off-shoulder black satin cocktail dress by Max Mara and looked super cute, especially because of the black headband.  Chloe hardly ever disappoints in the shoe section - she wore Rupert Sanderson sandals.

Jenna Dewan wore a Max Mara jumpsuit with a halter neck accompanied by a yellow clutch.  The hair is killing this look for me.

Meryl Streep was elegant in a long sleeved, ivory Max Mara dress with a black waist band but Viola Davis looked sexy in a strapless black Max Mara dress.

I like the burnt orange shade on her and the dress itself too - there's nothing to hate!

Viola Davis In Vera Wang - 2012 Oscars

Viola Davis stood out in a sea of predominantly white dresses in a vivid green 

Vera Wang gown.

I love how much detail this dress has.  The neckline is very bold, and the silk taffeta bodice goes down into a flared chiffon skirt with ruffles & pleating.

She kept her hair natural and blinged up in Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Viola Davis In MaxMara - Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Viola Davis stepped for without a wig for the second time this week at the Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party.

The actress looked smashing in the violet wrap-dress by MaxMara.  Normally I'd be against the floral addition but I think it lends the dress some visual interest.

Black earrings & pumps completed her look.

Viola Davis In Victoria Beckham - 2012 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon

Viola Davis attended the 2012 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in a white Victoria Beckham dress.

Viola looked elegant as always, in the off-shoulder sheath with three-quarter sleeves.  She accessorised with diamond and topaz earrings, a box clutch and satin Giuseppe Zannoti pumps.

Viola Davis wore a Herve Leroux dress to this year's NAACP Image Awards.

The tangerine colour of this dress is gorgeous on her but there's far too much cleavage, it's not subtle at all.  Matching earrings and a studded Leiber clutch completed her look.

Viola Davis In Valentino - 2012 BAFTAs

Viola Davis attended the BAFTAs in a custom Valentino dress.

The bright pink, as always, is fabulous on Viola. And the one-shoulder aspect set it apart from the sea of strapless dresses.  It's also environmentally friendly as it's made from recycled plastic bottles.

A glittering bangle, round minaudiere clutch & strappy heels were the finishing touches.

Viola Davis rocks the neon out of neon pink. 

The actress, who is up for the Best Actress award for 'The Help' wore a neon pink

I love the 'ladies who lunch' feel that this silk dress has, and the bright colour makes it interesting.  Viola completed the look with a chic hairstyle and silver Jimmy Choo sandals.

The Best Actress in a Movie winner has been consistently stylish on the red carpet thus far but I'm not loving this white, plunge neck gown too much.  Maybe it just needs to be hitched up higher.

However, the hair isn't working either.

Viola Davis In Herve Leroux - 2012 Producers Guild Awards

Viola Davis loves her monochromatic dresses, and why not when she looks so splendid in them.  For the PGAs, Viola went for a forest green Herve Leroux gown.

The pleated dress with an off-shoulder neckline and a tier was beautiful on Viola who wore it with a berry coloured lipstick & chandelier earrings.

2012 Golden Globes - Red

Dianna Agron went with a bold colour this year in this Giles Deacon dress.  The laser-cut swans on the bodice are reminiscent of the Givenchy Spring 2011 dresses but Di wore the dress so well and I love that she wore matching lipstick.

Viola Davis wore a wine coloured Emilio Pucci dress.  Red and all its shades look lovely on the actress and this was no exception.  Viola even added a little sexiness via the leg split!  She finished the look off with Fred Leighton jewelery, a Judith Leiber clutch & Jimmy Choo sandals.

'Glee' actress Amber Riley wore a strapless red gown by Badgley Mischka.  The vibrant shade is great on Amber and the slight draping makes her appear statuesque.

 Reese Witherspoon looked radiant in Zac Posen dress.  It's a signature Posen gown, with the impeccable fit, rich colour and the mermaid hem.  Reese wore it with a relaxed hairstyle & Fred Leighton jewels.

Tina Fey wore a deep red hued Oscar de la Renta gown.  The strapless tulle dress is lovely but I wish Tina had done something different with her hair.

The tomato coloured column dress with a deep v-neck was simply gorgeous on Viola, and top it, she won the Best Actress gong too.

Glossy hair, kohl-rimmed eyes, a box clutch & gold tasseled earrings were the finishing touches.

Viola Davis In BCBG Max Azria - The Hollywood Reporter's 'Power 100: Women In Entertainment Breakfast'

Viola Davis from 'The Help' wore a lovely BCBG Max Azria Spring 2012 dress to the THR Power Breakfast, held in LA yesterday.

The colourful, asymmetrical dress with a geometric design was great on Viola and she gets full marks for the caramel pumps.
