Fergie celebrated New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, going all out glam in a 

Nicolas Jebran dress.

The strapless, gold mirrored cocktail dress was certainly different but she wore it well, and it was very event appropriate.

A soft hairstyle & silver Giuseppe Zannoti sandals were the finishing touches.

Emmy Rossum In Farah Angsana - New Year's Style

Emmy Rossum rang in the new year in Times Square with presenter Carson Daly in a festive red dress from the Farah Angsana Spring 2012 line.

The strapless frock with a full, embellished skirt was worn by Emmy with matching pumps & an updo.

While I like that she went for minimal accessories, those matching pumps are a little jarring; gold heels would have been a better choice.

Rihanna & Sofia Vergara - New Year's Style

Rihanna went demure at a New Year's Eve party in a lace Tom Ford dress.  

The full sleeves and modest hemline were balanced by a key-hole neckline.  An updo, red lips & pointy black heels completed the look.

Sofia Vergara wore a hot white Blumarine dress at a party, with nude peeptoes & a straight, centre-parted hairstyle.

Lady Gaga In Versace - New Year's Style

Lady Gaga helped NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg push the button to drop the ball at New Year's Eve in Times Square wearing a Atelier Versace 2010 gown.

The intricate silk dress with a tasseled bodice & thigh-high leg split looked great on Gaga.

She wore it with a crystal mask & tall matching pumps.

Kim Kardashian In Gucci - New Year's Style

Kim Kardashian partied it up in Las Vegas last night, wearing a Gucci dress.

The white dress with a heavily embellished, keyhole neckline was worn by Indian actress, Preity Zinta earlier this year, at the Venice Film Festival (click here).

While on Preity, the dress looks subtly glamorous, on Kim it's predictably 'sexified' and hence loses its elegance.

The reality star wore it with a straight hairstyle, featuring blunt bangs & silver Louboutins.

More New Year's Style

So, even more celebs spotted at various events on the west coast. Do Taraji P. Henson & Olivia Munn share secretaries? I say this, because the two were present at the same event in Las Vegas last night! Henson looked cute in an emerald-green frock with gold accessories... although, can't help but feel that the hemline could have been taken lower, nearby the knees perhaps? Olivia Munn looked classy in a lacy black knee-length dress with purple heels. The two are wearing the same shoes too (YSL Tributes)... yikes.

Rihanna looked, um, red at an event. Not a fan of this dress or its awkward length, surely she could have taken out something a bit more fabulous out of her closet?! Jenna Dewan wore a fire-engine red mini with gold accessories, not ground-breaking but at least she made an effort! Rashida Jones (rumoured to be dating Garrett Hedlund) stepped out in a sparkly LBD which she wore with some funky heels! I like both, just not together. Also, wasn't too crazy about her make-up.

New Year's Style!

A lot of celebs were present in Las Vegas, at the opening of a new nightclub called Marquee. Everyone went sort of low-key and simple at this event - Emmy Rossum wore a cream sheath with nude heels, Taraji P Henson wore an LBD with red lips, Olivia Munn wore a leather pencil skirt with a flowy blouse & grey patent slingbacks (that look like they might be YSL's). Ellen Pompeo wore a glitzy, gold tunic with black tights and a tight updo (very reminiscant of something Nicole Richie would wear...) and Blake Lively also went with glitz - she wore a black chambray shirt with sparkly blue leggings and black shoes - mind you, she's done a very similar look before (see here). Overall, good fashion though!
